Giving back
In life I always feel that it is important to give back. We live in a world of so much materialism .
Over the years I have met some amazing people doing amazing things for others. Meeting and
working with these people made me realise that I had to consider life beyond myself.
I have had the great pleasure of photographing awareness campaigns for the South African guide dogs
as well as contributed to a project called Mamma Africa supported by Clover SA.
I worked on the Clover Mamma Africa coffee table book whereby I travelled to all corners of South Africa
photographing ladies in rural communities who had opened up their hearts and homes
in support of homeless children, very often orphaned as a result of their parents dying from the aids epidemic.
I hope in some small way I was able to make a difference in these children's lives by bringing their plight to the
attention of the people that managed to page through this book.
